Hydrus is the seventh colossus. Resembling a huge eel with electric dorsal spikes and a catfish face, this colossus swims in a gigantic murky lake (located in quadrant D1 on the map).

[edit] Path to the Colossus
Take the right exit from the temple and head north. Cross the landbridge and continue north all the way along the bridge until you reach quadrant F1, then turn right and head straight to the ruin overlooking the lake at D1. Jump into the water to begin the battle.

The only way to get onto the colossus in the first place is to wait until it makes a pass at you and dodge the electricity generated by the three electrical spikes on its body. Only the colossus' tail end will come up high enough out of the water for you to grab on to, so that's where you'll start. The electric spikes block your path to its head, and activate once they're in the water, so quickly make a beeline for the base of the spikes as soon as the colossus goes above the surface. Your sword will show you a place where you can stab to deactivate each spike.
Around halfway through the process (usually, as soon as you've got two spikes deactivated), the colossus will dive back deep underwater. At this point, simply return to the surface and wait for the colossus to come at you again.

If you're feeling bold, you could always try to run past the spikes before they go underwater. This will save you a lot of time, but be careful, because one jolt of electricity will take out nearly all of your health in Time Attack.
