Antagonism and Continuity
From WikiUeda
Antagonism and Continuity is an essay by Bruno Figueiredo, currently part of the website entitled The Bequest of Dormin. Figueiredo has also done two addition essays, Some Birds Aren't Meant to be Kept, which studies the value of freedom present in Ico, and a indepth analysis of the Famitsu advertisement for Team Ico's untitled third project.
This essay explores the creative mind of Fumito Ueda and his role as a video game designer and producer. Obviously the essay goes most in-depth with his creations Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. It describes their production, artistic style, ground breaking design, the intrinsic and extrinsic meaning of each, and the connection between the two.
