2nd City from Chicago is a comedy club plus a school of acting, writing, directing also improvisation that is was founded within 1959. Prominent former scholars include Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell. Second Metropolis remains not an accredited institution, so classes are not eligible for college credit. Auditions are not required for most classes, and you can enroll in the starting improvisation program lacking preceding acting knowledge.
